Also fair to humans

Fishes should be comfortable in aquaculture and should not suffer as much as possible when caught? Okay. And who has to take care of that? Well, first and foremost the fish farmers and fishermen!
That’s easy to say when you’re neither a fish farmer nor a fisherman. If we are going to delegate this work to them, we could at least support them in doing the best for the fish and other aquatic animals.
◼︎Researchers could find out which fish species can experience welfare in captivity and which fishing methods cause the least suffering.
◼︎Retailers and chefs could change their product range accordingly.
◼︎And consumers could adapt to the new range and pay the extra price for the additional fish welfare effort.
Or how else are fish farmers and fishermen supposed to do this?
